Hello AGL! 3 weeks into the season and their has been some crazy surprises already. It has been nothing short of crazy. Ranging from Leccese23 scoring 13 goals in ONE game to EagleEEE141 posting a 0.50 GAA. When I said that the AGL is filled with top tier talent, I was not lying. With some of the best goaltending around and some of the most disgusting L2er snipers, the AGL is always putting out highlight reels for all leagues to see. Now with our 3rd week done and over and were looking to the 4th week, lets go over the teams to see some of the surprises and disappointments

ree

3rd Period Excellence:

15-8-1

The 3PE are sitting solid in 2nd in their division so far. With a solid record of 15-8-1, look for them to make some adjustments in the next few weeks to improve their game. Lecupidon is leading the team in points with 52 (26 goals, 26 assists), which also puts him 6th in the league in points. The only thing stopping them from getting to the top is them. They have the talent to compete and dominate most teams, but they just need to put it together. Watch out for AMCOJOLO and cibwar0000 to turn up the notch moving forward and if they do... the team may just make it to the Finals.

ree

Vipers:

17-7-0

Well, the Vipers were expected to compete with the top teams in the league and that is exactly what they are doing. Landing Chxmpo to bolster their defense and offense was a great start. Yoshi (who is tied for 1st in the league with goals with 33) and Bufford have created a great team and may just have the best defense in the league. BigPapaPumpkin leading the defense while SourSapper is locking down the net has been part of that recipe. Defense wins championships, but only time will tell if that is true.

ree

Flying Dutchmen:

18-4-2

My darkhorse favorite XBOX team is performing how I predicted. Elite goaltending by Magilla and SDRACER619 have made it difficult to beat. Not only that, but they may have some of the best depth in the league as 6 players have 20 or more points so far. If the Flying Dutchmen can keep up their dominance and make it to the playoffs, they will be a very difficult team to outscore.

ree

Silverbacks:

11-7-6

This team definety surprised me this season. I knew that they would have a great offense, but with the talent this league has I had some doubt. With Fluri37, who is 1st in the league in points with 66 (29 goals, 37 assists, and Curtisx18x (who is 4th in the league in points with 53 points (17 goals, 36 assists) leading the way for their team has them at least competing. The team is sitting barely below .500 and it has some to do with subpar defense and average goaltending. 6 overtime losses show that they need just a little push to get them over that edge. Can Cabrelix make the moves to improve his team or will they just rely that they can score more goals to make up for the lackluster defense? Your move!

ree

Puck Hogs:

6-17-1

Okay... allowing the 2nd most goals in the league is never a good recipe for success. Finding an answer defensively is going to key for them. Spoonthegoon has a rep as one of the better goalies around so I know it can't be put on him to stop every shot. Harvbar has to improve the defense and find that go to scorer. Does he have the ammunition to make those kind of moves? For one of the worse teams in the league, he is going to have to work some magic.

ree

No Dekes:

13-10-1

So here is my question. How is a team that has so much talent, barely sitting over .500 for the season?! They started off good. When you have EagleEEE141 in net you always have a chance to win. When your roster includes KraZy-8, Spelliscy_21, Sliyumshady, Merciless20, Rejects_77, Kbatch0914, and KIDMON3Y you would think the team would be great. Spelliscy_21 needs to figure out the formula for this team that helps them win games and we could see this team catapult them up in the standings.

ree

The Mighty Ducks:

15-7-1

Its duck season! The Ducks are definetley my surprise of the season. I had them ranked towards the bottom of the rankings before the season started. I do not like being wrong, but the Ducks are making a case for being the top team in the league. CJx-19 is 2nd in the league in points with 59 (25 goals, 34 assists) and is one of the reasons for their success offensively. But we can't ignore the stellar duo of goalies they have back there with Leiniesman, (who is 2nd in the league in GAA posting an outstanding 1.66 GAA) and Quackstacker. The team is coming of a 5-4 record from the past 10 games so let's see if they can pick it back up.

ree

Ice Hawks:

17-6-0

Agger and his team are doing what most expected. Win most of their games. A team that features 6 players who have 27 or more points show that they have the talent and solid depth to win most of their games. Hot_Logger and KQ31 are putting up a respectable 2.86 GAA shows that the team is hard to score on. They seem to play a style that looks for quality chances over quantity, so let's see how that playstyle carries forward with them as the season progresses.

ree

Night Owls:

18-5-1

When a team scores 18 goals in one game, it's safe to say the team is good, right? Lececese23 is 3rd in the league in points with 55 (28 goals, 27 assists), BadMCFrosty43 is 6th with 52 points (14 goals, 38 assists), and Colonelforbinnn is 8th in the league in points with 51 points ( 23 goals, 28 assists). That is the top line in the AGL! Now forget about their offense for a minute. With the pickup of the year in Pirates44 to help bolster their goalie group, it's going to be a team to be reckoned with for the rest of the season. All I can say is good luck outscoring and good luck trying to score.

ree

Mighty Lobsters:

16-6-2

Now an arguement can be made here I know. With the Lobsters posting a 7-0-0 record in their division, is their success a product of playing in the weakest division in the league? That's a question that only they can answer. But they have beaten opponents outside of their division thanks to the dynamic core of forwards featuring SpiderxMonkey, Tragic-Vs5, Driftit240, BaseGodEric, and ReileyDaniels. Dandyman26 and HangerHog19 are damn good goalies and have a case to be one of the top tandems in the league. Posting a 3.53 GAA is solid, but watch for them to lock in and prove to the league that they are the tandem to be feared or will teams prove that the Lobsters success is a product of them playing in a weaker division?

ree

Mutant Sharks:

10-10-4

The fact that this team has faced the 4th most shots in the league with 469 shots and they are just below .500 is crazy. What's crazier is the fact that Newfiewall and Apexpredator724 are posting a 3.34 GAA and a .834 save percentage. 3 words to the rest of the team. HELP! THEM! OUT! Dirtydangler is their one bright side right now on offense posting a respectable 49 points (33 goals, 16 assists), which is 10th in the league. Featuring guys like Ch1t0wn_13on9, Rangersfan142, and theCanadien_777 this team could be doing a lot better in a weaker division. Time to turn it around fellas!

ree

Brew-Tang:

9-12-3

Here is the reason why the Brew-Tang ain't doing well right now. Take a breath.... They are facing the the 3rd most shots with 495, NxtiveKxrlsson isn't posting great numbers right now, And besides High_Voltage34, the goalie group hasn't been performing well. Sounds like a lot to fix right? It is. Time for B1G_W16 to shake things up or hope the team can perform better. Jellyfambrandon has been a lone spotlight offensively for them.

ree

Bayou Bandits:

12-10-2

This is just my opinion, but the numbers back it up here. The Bandits are where they are at because of the defense as a team. Whether it's the forechecking or poor positioning, they are just allowing way too many shots on net. With 462 shots against them, it is truly amazing that they are not worse. L3Knott is 1st in saves (249), 8th in GAA (2.46), and 5th in Save Percentage with .859 percent. Now they are heading into next week off of a 3 win streak so they have momentum right now. Time to kick it up a notch or two fellas!

ree

Money Shot:

14-9-1

The problem here isn't in the offense at all. Having the 5th worst GAA (4.03) in the league tells quite a bit. It's not necessarily on the goalies. It could be on the defense too, but they are allowing a lot of shots on net too. Nothing more needs to be said other than the got to clean it up a bit as a team. Great players throughout the roster with rtc_king, X-Kessel81-X, PigeonNine0xX(tafc), Korrowan, and Avenged7Fred this team should be performing better.

ree

Hoolingans:

4-18-2

The team is allowing almost 7 goals a game with the worst GAA with 6.96 GAA! The team is -111 in goal differential, which is the worst in the league as well. It's early and maybe it's time to shake things up a bit to see if the season can be saved.

ree

Pine Riders:

12-10-2

This is a tough one for me. The goalies aren't the issue here. The defense is performing solid. Their top line is scoring. So what could it be? Honestly, it may be the fact that the season 1 champs are in the same division as the Flying Dutchmen, Ice Hawks, and Vipers. They are making moves though to try and help them over come the early season slump. Picking up Cowboy2267 and BLuNTx_xWaRri0r were good pickups. But, is it enough or will they need to make a trade for a top talent elsewhere?

ree

Spartans:

8-14-2

WE! ARE! SPARTA! That was such a badass squad wasn't it? The same cannot be said about AGL's Spartans as of yet. With subpar goaltending and underperforming offense, this team has some work to do. They are making moves to try and shake up the roster. So fingers crossed that it helps them or it's going to be a long season.

ree

Netstix & Chill:

8-12-4

Here is another tough team for me to judge. They allow a lot of shots on net, but have 5 players who have 20 points or more. The dman are doing solid and the goaltending has been solid. Going from the numbers and watching the games, I think it comes down to the offense's playstyle isn't for some of the players. The team has good talent in their forwards and solid defensemen, but maybe some line switches to see what meshes better is in the future.

ree

Fighting Amish:

10-8-6

Now here is a team that should be optimistic. Why? Because when it comes to talent, they are up there. I mean look at it: Forwards, swayzeXpress420X, ItzCharts, Sweet_Peach_69, Bologna-tah-tahs, andTgun151 are alll performing well. And as far as defensemen go, they may have the best defensemen group in the league in TwineTickler301, getsummadeeez, and MonkeyWrench304. In one of the weaker divisions in the league, it would not take much with this roster to change it around and start winning more games and get in the playoffs for a deep run.

ree

Blue Demons:

11-9-4

This one is an easy one. With a top 10 offense in the league, it is tough to find out why the team isn't doing so hot. They can score goals which isn't an issue. The defense is solid and so is the goalie group. I think it comes down to just putting all together and having it translate to wins. Time for management to step in and make the appropriate changes! Whitetees41 is proving to the league why he is one the top, if not the best, sniper in the league with 31 goals so far. Will he get tired if they keep on losing and ask for a trade?

ree

Kings of the North:

3-18-3

The team is dead last in the standings. They are 3rd in PIM, which shows the team just isn't disciplined on the ice. maybe it's time to shake things up, or maybe they may be trying to aim for a great position in the draft ( depending on what we do).

ree

Gooney Tunes:

15-8-1

I remember people telling me I was sleeping on the Gooney Tunes. I did not know who they were, as did a lot of us PlayStation peeps. But we do now. This team has shown that they can compete with almost every team here. Beating the Vipers last week 5-0 shows just how dominant they can be. Grayzer and drunkencomb393 are a great goalie tandem that should receive more recognition for posting a 2.97 GAA. Cyclonebrendan8 leads the team in points with 40 (15 goals 25 assists) and Dradle Jay II seems to be the go to scorer as he leads the team in goals with 21 so far. Watch out for this team as they have a chip on their shoulder and want to make a statement.

ree

Trash Pandas:

11-12-1

Some may have been surprised that they didn't select Whitetees41 and maybe they would like his scoring prowess. But, TheMarker_1 has done fairly well as he leads his team in points (40), assists(22), and goals (18).

Having other stud players in Ender554, MTG_Wizard88, RDLacsy78, wxvyEBK, and Jeeves2009 will help them turn things around for them. Hopefully. Only time will tell for this team.

ree

Whalers:

14-8-2

This team is a lot better than the record shows. Bloodynumber48 has been great for them posting a 7-3 record. The teams struggle here is the lack of depth of goal scorers. I mean, Bloodynumber48 played 3 games as a skater and is 6th in goals for his team. The Whalers need to do something because they can't rely on Jsketter2582 and xBarryBluntz19x to carry the workload the whole time.
