The Final Showdown!

This is it AGL! The Finals of the USA vs Canada series is upon us. The best of the best faceoff for the final time! The Eagles vs the Maple Leafs! The bragging rights until the next NHL game comes out! What I am saying is it's a big deal tonight! We couldn't ask for a better series so far. Team Canada leads the series by 1 game, 8-7. Canada is 2 wins away from winning it all and having the bragging rights of the offseason! Can USA string together their games to wins or do they buckle under the pressure? This will be one hell of a night regardless of the outcome. So, strap in, sit back and let's break this down to see. As Bruce Buffer would say, " Its Tiiiiimmmmmeeeeee!!!!!!!"

Okay. So this is going to be the toughest one for me to breakdown for many reasons. I give each breakdown of every article a non-biased opinion and analysis and this is a tough one for me because of the friends on both teams. Still, I will give this the best breakdown I can. If you hate me after, take a number.

Team Canada has put up a great past 3 games after getting shut out. They have outscored the USA, 14-5! Everything has been flowing for them offensively AND defensively! With this lineup tonight, the question is can they carry on the momentum? This trio of forwards put together a really good night last time they played together by accumulating 9 goals in 3 games, while also going 2-1 on the night. Thats a really solid output for them and plus it helps that they have bloodynumber48 in net tonight to try and help propel them as champions tonight. He has been solid throughout this series, but he will have to be in top form tonight. He is unfortunately 0-3 in this series, but he has been put in a position to redeem himself! The biggest question I have tonight is can Sdex and MattAdoresDonna answer the call tonight and stop a trio of forwards who will be making them be at the edge of their seat every time they are on a rush? I like them both, but I can't say that they can in confidence. Prove me wrong gents.

Team USA has put out a very sexy looking lineup tonight! On paper this team should be the favorites. On paper that is. On the ice it has been a bit of a different story. Last time this trio played together they were responsible for 7 goals, but were also outscored 12-7 that night, which led to a 1-2 night. I will say I expect this trio to be very aggressive on the forecheck to try and create opportunities. Both whitetees and GhostMK are the snipers for this team and they both average at 10 hits per game. BryG20 and JingleJoose will have the task of stopping Canada from scoring and it won't be easy! I personally think making safe breakout passes will be key for USA tonight and should be a focal point so these crafty forwards can work some magic! Feddy has had a solid series so far and I know he wishes his stats showcased it. He is 1-2 with .721 Save Percentage. While the percentage hasn't been great, he has made some unreal saves as well. This is a night where he can redeem himself and erase his last 3 games.

So I do unfortunately have to choose a winner for the series tonight. I did give this a lot of thought and even though I am an American, I have to go with Team USA! Before you come at me thinking its biased, I am basing this off of 3 things. Pay attention to key moment faceoff wins tonight. They will play a pivotal role tonight. Even more so than normal. One of the goalies streak of bad games will continue while one is crowned a hero. The play of the goalies and who can make that ONE key save that switches the momentum. Last but not least, I think the forwards for USA tonight will be too much for this lineup tonight. I personally think the only way they win is if Bloodynumber plays like he normally does and steals a couple of games for them.

Regardless of the outcome, this has been a series we've all enjoyed and I am so happy to be apart of it and watch top talent in the AGL face each other. I know this series will end with the best team winning and I hope to see another series again soon! Good luck tonight to both teams and may the best team win tonight!
