Here We Go Again!

What up FBHL! First let me introduce myself. I am Pc3poseidon. Some of y'all know me from other leagues, but I am taking on the responsibility of doing some media for the FBHL. Be ready for some opinionated perspectives and honest feedback. I mean I am an Islanders fan and just got drafted to the Rangers this past draft so yea. Enough about me, but I do want to give a shoutout to Siriushp for pushing through and getting the draft done pretty efficiently. Alright now lets get to it!

Okay so the long awaited draft is over and lets just say multiple teams made questionable picks and some got steals in this past Saturday. Lets go over them now shall we.

The St. Louis Blues I think had the best draft this time around. Getting players like DarthPrimer who had 53 points (18 goals, 35 assists) last season, Xninja is probably one of the top goalies in the league when they are playing, and providing depth at the goalie position they got Xxsalvi too.

The New York Islanders honestly may have the best defense because of their draft. Getting Siriushp who had 43 points in just 35 games (11 goals, 32 assists), was 1st in interceptions, 31st in hits, and 3rd and takeaways last season I would say she was the top defenseman in the draft. Adding XRockies4 to their defense in the draft too makes their depth at defense scary.

The LA Kings I think added the most depth at this draft. They had a lot of draft picks and made the most of it. Getting Brady10035 who may finish in the top 5 goalies at the end of the season, Chamblean who is one of the few that can play defenseman and forward very well, Hastyugly who is a very solid defenseman and provides depth at that position, and X-Bure10-X is a great playmaker with the puck and finished will 22 assists and 2 goals in just 12 games last season.

Okay so here are my top 5 teams for this upcoming season. I am sure their will be some disagreements on this, but the hell with it.

1. St. Louis Blues - Okay so besides having the best draft this season (which yes it is too early to say) they were already stacked with some firepower offensively. Leading the way is Ironside197 who is arguably the best goal scorer in the league last season. They were 1st in goals with 116 and 2nd in points with 167. While also having one of the top centers in the league in X_-Nuckzy who was 5th in points with 147 (55 goals, 92 assists) this 1-2 punch is going to be tough to stop. Good luck to everybody else.

2. New York Islanders - So the team I had for the 2nd best draft is also the 2nd best team in the league right now on paper. With who they added on defense and may of matched what they have on offense. maybe. Egyptian_yeah22 leading the way for their team this year will be fun to see. Finishing 6th last year in points with 140 (73 goals, 67 assists). Who is going to be the Robin to Egymptians Batman? The answer to the question may put them at number 1, but for now they will stay at number 2 just for the ridiculous depth they have a defense.

3. Toronto Maple Leafs - So this team is going to be probably to most interesting team to watch. The offense no question is there. Leading the charge is x-Mxrphy who was 3rd in points last season with 159 points (55 goals, 104 assists) but then you've also gotta account for diamond_supply90 who was 8th in the league with points 133 (66 goals, 67 assists) and white_knucklerz who was 32nd in points 98 (34 goals, 64 assists). They invested a lot into the defense so lets see if it pays off.

4. Detroit Red Wings - On paper this looks like a promising team. Honestly yes I am going off of potential, but its preseason picks so I can do that. With a good draft and strong players this team can put together some solid wins. With CMM_19no2 at goalie, picking up players like Oilermanhockey, Kooucchimane, Nelsongrams, and Mrabrams1994, the defense is solid and the offense is going to be really, really good. Only time will tell if the team gets it together.

5. Carolina Hurricanes - When you have a solid draft and already have a good selection of protected players, I guess that will tend to lead to putting together a good team. That is exactly what Carolina did. Chef_Pietro and Edge3282 protected players Xx_91TaveresxX who had 86 points last season (43 goals, 43 assists), Senshockey who had 48 points (19 goals, 29 assists) in just 12 games, and Epicxskillzy who had 75 points (22 goals, 53 assists). Focusing on defense thorughout the draft and having a solid goalie in Chef_Pietro this team will be interesting to watch. Having a small sample size to go off of for their some of their offense its tough to judge them on how well they will do. We will find out soon enough though.
