Figuring It Out

Well officially week one of FBHL is done and let me just say, it's gonna be a very interesting season. I got a lot to go over and including my top 5 players right now in the league, 5 underrated players to watch, and of course I have my controversial power rankings. So with that being said, let's get it.

Reider15-15 is my top player right now. Now of course you can say I am biased because I am on St. Louis, but the numbers don't lie. He's got 44 points (16 goals, 28 assists) in 9 games so far. While also 2nd in the league in hits, top 25 in takeaways, and top 25 in interceptions for forwards, he has proven to be just as good defensively as he is offensively.
Sxderblom has been lighting it up for St. Louis this first week along side Reider15-15. The duo has combined for 74 goals this week and look like they are going to be tough to stop. Sxderblom is 2nd in the league in points with 30 (18 goals, 12 assists) and is looking like they won't be slowing down anytime soon.
ZTURNSYY seems like they are just getting started. In just 6 games and already in 3rd place in points in the league with 29 points (12 goals, 17 assists) and will only continue getting better as they keep putting highlight plays together with fellow dman xHyper-27.
Sweetdwilly21 has been doing what top goalies need to do. I know what yall are probably thinking... why do I have a goalie in my top 5 players list right now?! Well besides one other goalie (ice_uck97) who should be shown some love, Sweetdwilly has been tough to score on. The only argument that can be made is they are only 12th in the league in shots against with 79 in 6 games. That just shows that the defense is really good and obviously the offense is keeping the puck in the offensive zone. But when you are tied for first in wins (5), 1st in GAA (2.00), 3rd in save percentage (.848), and tied for 1st in shutouts, it is tough to argue. We will see if he remains consistent throughout the season.
Wozy97 and xHyper-27 are tied for me at 5th in the league. I know its suppose to be top 5 players, but I just couldn't decide. xHyper-27 is one of the main reasons for Edmontons early success. You would expect this out of the number one overall pick and it is showing to be worth it. He has 23 points (4 goals, 19 assists) and has made the case for one of the top dman in the league. Wozy97 has 27 points (15 gaols, 12 assists) and is also one of the reasons for the Rangers hot start.

Darkside_reborn is was not even drafted. But is going to get the call out because as a forward he is leading the league in hits (86) and in 9 games he has 22 points (13 goals,9 assists). Not bad at all. Lets see if the numbers will translate to some wins.
ice_uck97 is to me one of the top goalies right now. For a middle of the pack team in Vegas, he is one of the reason for their success right now. Tied for first in wins (5), 5th in GAA (3.00), and 4th in save percentage (.825) he is finding his groove early.
JP_029 has only played 4 games so far. In 4 games he has 19 goals! He hasn't played a game where he hasn't scored at least 3 goals so far. With more games lined up he has made his message clear. He can score with the best of them. I won't be surprised if they are leading the league in goals by the end of the season.
King_Beast316 has been a very nice pick up for the Rangers! In only 3 games they have 12 goals and 5 assists. Between Beast and Darkside its going to be interesting to see who may go down as the best undrafted player this season. Only time will tell and who knows who else might pop off.
CMM_19N02 isn't underrated at all. He is well known in the league, but deserves recognition for what he is doing right now which I think is underrated. He has faced the most shots in the league with 155 and is still posting a 4th best GAA (2.77) and a 2nd best save percentage (.852). Making some improvements and adjustments to the gameplan and team will translate to CMM getting some more wins. With stats like these he is doing literally the best he can.

Boston Bruins are the top team in week one. Posting a 8-1 record and solid goaltending by sweetdwilly its not a surprise why that is. Mugfxrd leading the way with 22 points (11 goals and 11 assists) and good contributions with just a small sample size by yaBoyMaks (5 goals, 5 assists) and maje3355 (8 goals, 6 assists) in just 3 games. Lets see if the keep that number one spot moving forward.
Edmonton Oilers are here because of their electric offense which lifted them over key wins over Toronto and St. Louis. Being 7-1-1 lets see how long Hyper and Turnsyy can keep up their dynamite offense.
St. Louis Blues are getting things going early! 8-1 with their only loss coming down to Edmonton in a close game, look for them to continue their dynamic offense. Defensively sound but better offensively led by Reider and Sxderblom they are going to be good. DarthPrimer (who has 9 goals,11 assists) and Xknuckzy (who has 13 goals, 7 assists) provide depth as a second great pair of forwards and have stellar goaltending by x11-ninja.
New York Rangers made some early moves and it has paid off. With surprising contributions by King Beast and Walking Maniac (6 goals, 9 assists) and with a great duo in Nyboy914 and Wozy97 this team is going to score goals. Lets see if the defense can keep up with their offense moving forward.
Chicago Blackhawks are going to be my pick here. Surprising I know with their record being 6-3 but with key wins over Boston, New York, and Edmonton I can't ignore that.
Pittsburg Penguins being 6-1-2 they are showing they can compete with top teams. With a tough next week coming up for them, this will be the true test to see where they stand. Its up to JP029 to rally the team and see who can contribute with them.
Toronto Maple Leafs are just a tough team. Don't let their record of 5-2-2 fool you. They have depth and solid goaltending. Lets see if they can put it together this week.
Seattle Kraken sitting at 5-2-2 they are interesting to judge. They have a great trio in CJ_Crazy_Eyes ( who has 13 goals and 11 assists), KetchupChippp (who has 9 goals and 13 assists), and Jwertzy7 (who has 6 goals and 9 assists) and a solid dman in Churchy1707. The lack of contributions of goals scoring and depth is hurting them so lets see who steps up or if they make some changes.
New York Islanders are 5-4 and seem to be figuring some things out. Better to do it now then later but I expect some more wins next week. They lost some close games so lets see if they adjust.
Vegas Golden Knights sitting at 5-4 is lacking goals. That is really it. Ice_uck is keeping them in games so obviously defensively they gotta figure some stuff out. Expect some big games from McKenney4 (they have goals and 7 assists in just 3 games)!
Detroit Red Wings are 4-4-1. Not really the start they were hoping for but expect some of their top lines to get some better games going this week. We will see if they can turn this around. Besides their games against the Rangers and Penguins, they have been a competitive team. Don't sleep on them.
Arizona Coyotes are off to a slower start. At 4-5 they have some adjustments I am sure they will make. A surprising win over Pittsburg was their highlight of the week. With their best player being an undrafted FA they need to look for contributions from others. Besides their starting dline, they may need to adjust their defensive gameplans. We will see what they can do.
Anaheim Ducks are 3-6. Bluntly put, they need more offense. With an optimistic week this week and who they are playing, they need to capitalize on this week by making the necessary changes quick if they wanna turn this around.
Carolina Hurricanes are the complete opposite of Anaheim. They are 2-6-1 because of their defense. They have solid forwards and are contributing well. With solid goaltending by Chef_Pietro and Deadlyone910 they are lucky to have 2 wins. Look for them to make some changes and see what they can do. Defensively they are just allowing too many shots.
San Jose Sharks are 2-6-1 and honestly its because their best players haven't gotten into enough games, Lets see if they can get some consistency from the goalies and lets see what happens.
LA Kings have some things to figure out. Sitting at 2-7 which I am sure they are not where they would like to be they have some question marks. They have a solid goaltender in Whitechisle and they have decent depth with their forwards. Defensively I am not sure. Plus they are a victim of being in a tough conference.
Buffalo Sabres are at 1-7-1 because honestly they are just not able to score goals and lack depth at defense. They have a solid duo pair of goalies, but need to fill in some holes in their offense.
Florida Panthers are in last place for as they are 1-7-1. I honestly expect them to get out of this spot and move up to the middle of the pack by the end of the season. Offensively they have some solid players. Goalie and depth of defense needs to be addressed so lets see what happens.
Well that's going to be it for me. Let us see how this week plays out and what surprises await. Every week their are blowouts and upsets, but also you just never know who can rise to the occoasion. Now that I am getting to know everyone this will only get easier to me. FBHL is underway and we will see what it has in store for us. Until next time, peace out.
