AGL S6 DRAFT GRADES PART 2

Alright! Were back to finish the 2nd part of the draft grades for Season 6! Alot of teams looking good, some okay, some left scratching my head, but hey... it's not how you start. It's how you finish, so plenty of time to prove me wrong, or prove me right!

Breakdown:

Pavelbure and Fog put together a really, really solid team here. Ghostmk, Yamesyahn, and Loganov6 were really good picks for where they were selected. Offensively they will have plenty of firepower to compete with most of the teams.

I will say it will be up to Pavel and Rhemmy25 to help solidify their defenseman core. Can they carry the load defensively for their D partner? I think so for most of the teams. I do expect a trade in the future to help bolster their defenseman core, who would they have to give up to do so? Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself.. maybe I'm completely wrong and they play stellar. On paper and from what I know about the players, I stand by my decision here. That's why I can give them a higher grade.

Sweetdilly21 is a great selection at Goalie and I think he will face plenty of shots early to get going.

Let's see how this team plays out. Very well put together roster, but the playstyles of certain players I question if is a right fit. Very interesting team for sure!

Breakdown:

Before yall come at me for this one, I will say they drafted solid goalies here. I understand having a middle of the pack pick is a tough spot to be in, in the draft, but on paper, and my knowledge of the players.... their were better players available and I feel like they struck out on a few of these.

I feel like their 2nd night of drafting was better than their first night honestly and that's crazy assessment to make. Maybe they know something I don't... maybe they have THEIR guys and will prove me wrong. Maybe.

Breakdown:

Dadbod, Bloody, and Bologna-tee-tees teamed up this season and drafted a really good team here. Great forwards in Spells, a ROY candidate in my opinion in Isles2791, and Pigeon. They grabbed Mikenaughty early to bolster their D core and Bloody will be playing goalie of course so the team will always have a chance.

So the question is " Poseidon! Why are you giving them a B if their draft was solid?" The answer is the same as it seems to be for half the teams. I don't believe in their defense honestly. I believe in Bloody and his capilbilites on bailing out the defense, but hell.. Bloody will have some amazing saves, but if this defense can't get the puck out of the zone, it will be some very long nights.

They will score alot when they have the puck in the ozone, but I'm not sold on the right side. Looking forward to the Isles/Isles calls with Lymes stream though!

Breakdown:

Jeeves and Rejects are vets here in AGL and no strangers to owning. They prove yet again on why they were selected to own by drafting a stellar team here.

This team is structured alot like the Pylons in my opinion. Good luck getting past the LDs of this team. Drafting Spiderman early was a bit surprising because I thought they would drop to the 2nd, but still a very good picks. Drafting Boreass as late as they did could prove to be THE steal of the draft.

Rejects and Jeeves can make anyone around them better, so offensively I'm not too worried about them. Defensively, I'm really not either. And to cap it off, the drafted Bufford80, who is retuning to his Goalie spot to hold down in between the pipes. I expect this team to be near the top of the standings very early!

Breakdown:

Bestflicks and suspects put together a really solid team. Super solid team honestly. Although, the lack that big name starpower on the forwards side, they will prove to be a very good team defensively. This is the type of the team that is structured to "go with the flow" in the season, and then make a very deep run in the playoffs with the "defense first" type of mindset.

Bryg20 will consistently lock down his side of the ice and make things easy for Big4life and Bench_warmer13. I'm really focusing on Bestflicks here to lead that offense when his number is called here. I think this is a very sneaky good team. Well done fellas.

Breakdown:

This is a very good team that Haji and Rudy put together here. Superstar talents on the wings, and lockdown defensemen! Very well done.

I do think this is a team that plays defensively enough that they can overcome mediocre play from their goalies. Not that their goalies are bad. They are both solid, but compared to some of the other tandems in the league, I'm not so sure. Prove me wrong gents.

BLUEBERRY BULLDOGS:

Breakdown:

Semp and Notorious did a very good job in this draft. Picking up Bootsend gives them a guy to lean on when they need a timely goal and I feel like will compliments anyone's playstyle.

Lowzeeh and Cuzzando are my picks of a top 3 Goalie tandem in the league. Very good goalies and either can make that key save when their number is called.

Ardison solidifies their defense, but I'm giving them this grade for grabbing Mobman2242 and Cuzzando when they didn't. Late round steals if you ask me. I think this team could gel together really well, but I could see it not work at all. I'll give them this A for now, instead of a B+ for now.

ELECTRIC MAYHEM:

Breakdown:

Before yall come at me, the roster is an A+ roster in my opinion. The first 3 rounds were underwhelming to me. Not the player selections, but where yall drafted them at.

Nicklecreed and Fidelastro did a great job scouting. Probably one of the best I've seen. Rounds 4-12 may of been the best in league for yall.

LUYEYEP123 is a sleeper Norris nominee this season in my opinion and he feel to round 4. Hugepinch8585 will score goals regardless of the team he's on.

If I had to choose a weakness, I'd have to say the goalie tandem may not be as strong compared to others, but this team is built strong enough to overcome that if that does become an issue. All in all, great draft!

AGL HAWKS:

Breakdown:

Persinger and sdex put together a contender team here. They got the offense, defense , and quality goalies. No reaches really, they went after their guys, and added the necessary depth.

Shank2286 in the 4th is a crazy good steal for them and I expect him to get alot of goals this season.

Itzoutlawdemo made a name for himself in WW by showing out his superb goalie skills and they were able to snag him late.

This team is stacked top heavy. I think the 2nd unit could struggle, but that remains to be seen.

AGL DEMONS:

Breakdown:

I think X902sniper and wesyde nailed this draft. Take a gander at this roster. It screams "contender" all over.

Fluri37 will score goals regardless, but I'm excited to see if him and jskeeter get put on the same line. They would make some insane plays.

This defense is underrated. Rk17 is serviceable dman and Hashbrown191 may win rookie of the year. The guy is a stud dman that fell to them in the rookie round.

The 2nd forward line won't be as flashy, but they will still score some gritty and dirty goals. I expect this team to be a top 10 team based off of this roster. Great draft gents!

Breakdown:

This team that Clarkkent and flyerthanyou drafted isn't the greatest, but it's a very solid team. You can tell they got their guys for the most part, and have a particular style they are aiming for.

I am giving this a B grade because honestly, the roster lacks that superstar that can step up when called upon. Nobody really jumps out at me. I think it's a well rounded team that could compete for the playoffs and even surprise a team, but I think a trade may be in order so they can possibly find that missing piece.

Breakdown:

Saintshockey, tecneek, and barlow built a championship contending team in this draft. They understand what it takes to get there and they did not miss with any of their selections.

With a D core that could be up in the top 5, I think this team understands that defense wins championships.

They have an offense that will be led by Curtis who will be looking to set up everyone. Outside of him, Mchew89 is a guy who scored alot of goals last year and will be looking to continue that this season.

The goalie tandem of Barlow and TTSBURR may be top 3 in the league by the end of the season. From top to bottom, I don't see much of any weaknesses here. Good stuff guys!

AGL BI-POLAR BEARS:

Breakdown:

All I'm going to say is xTredz and Grayzer killed it this draft! Their potential starting lineup looks great, depth is their and most importantly, they have a great defenseman core playing in front of Grayzer and Dandyman. A top 3 goalie tandem in my opinion. I really don't know what else to say. Good shit fellas and good luck this season! By far one of the better drafts this season from owners! I expect this to be a top 8 team.... don't disappoint me please. I'm catch heat from the chat if that happens 😅.

AGL SKATEFUL DEAD:

Breakdown:

I think this team will be a top 3 team in the league. One of the juggernauts!

Their is something that scares me about the team though. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I feel like I'm not alone on this. The right side of defense looks a little weak. OakTreez and Agger are both elite defensemen and can carry the load defensively, but in the playoffs, they can't play as free and will rely on their D partner to do their job against elite talent. Can they? I really don't know.

Cujo and Darksidereborn are quality goalies, and can do what they need to do to win, but as I said before, I don't know about the right side. I've been wrong before, but I've never been more sure of a take of a team than this one.

AGL LEGION OF DOOM:

Breakdown:

By far my favorite logo this season! Anyways, Apollo and Brandflakes put together what I think may be one of the best teams in this draft.

Ze2- I think will be top 5 in goals this season, and will pair with Apollo, or Lanarkboy just fine. Keep in mind that they grabbed Smitty1493 as well so they have well balanced forward lines that can score at will. Brandflakes and Apollo will be having a great time collecting assists from these guys.

The defense is solid! Grabbing Kdeeter1313 in round 8 is crazy because he's a good quality defenseman who is underrated to say the least.

Their biggest steal of the draft was Cotachoda7g at Goalie in the rookie round. I think he will immediately make a statement that he's a top 15 goalie I'm the AGL as a rookie. You heard it here first. Great draft guys!

Conclusion:

This was by far the deepest draft in AGL and is only going to get deeper season by season. Can't wait for the season to start and can't wait to see who can prove me wrong and who I can say "I told you so" to. Until next ladies and gents ✌️
