Week 1: Hot and Cold teams of the week

Who is Hot:

1. Ottawa Senators

Ottawa has came out firing in week 1, with a perfecto record of 9-0-0. This week was less by KrazyKoala who had 38 points in 9 games. I asked Krazy about the 9-0-0 start and how long it could last, “I'm not sure how far we'll go undefeated, but I'm excited to see how the rest of the season plays out”. Sauce-Boss followed up with 17 points in 6 games played, along with Billybobjo and Scarpetti each getting 14 points in 3 games played. AyoitzCarter and Zip held the fort down in net, with a combined 2.66 GAA.

2. Vegas Golden Knights

Vegas came out hot this week with a 8-1-0 record, only dropping a game to the Colorado Avalanche. They were lead by Wolf29 with 25 points in 9 games played. Herb followed up with a great 22 points in 6 games played. Chipbandit and ToxicTryharvs played stellar in goal, with a combined 2.66 GAA. CNC wannabe Allstar ABC6171992 made his debut, got 6 points in 3 games, or if you see his PS4 drop in stats, it’s his worst 3 games ever played. For what it’s worth he’s still a -1 in this while being -1993 in Club on ps4. Vegas has a strong team, and I can see them continuing into the season with a good record.

3. New Jersey Devils

In my opinion, the Devils played better lines, went 7-2-0 and are currently on a 4 game winning streak. The NJD are lead by KL12Mack, who put up 32 points in 9 games played. Helping him was SheeshX1 at 27 points in 9 games. After that the Devils points drop off but overall the team played fine. The Goaltending was fine as well, with Geotopia and JohnEWalker managing 3 games each (don’t know why) with 2.97 GAA. The Devils look to be making strides early, but I think they will need help from the bottom 7 draft picks.

Who is Cold:

1. New York Rangers

I have no idea what happened. Rangers went 1-8-0 and had 65 goals against. KarlssonisGod had 29 points in 9 games, but was a -26 unfortunately. He had little, to no help as XxDatsyuk13 had 13 points in 5 games played. Jpopoff94 played 8 games in goal and had a 7.11 GAA. That is going to be hard to beat. The Rangers maybe had availability issues, but they will need to figure it out or they can be in trouble.

2. St. Louis Blues

Well uh, the Blues went 1-7-1, but only had 38 goals against. That is much better than 65. The Blues were lead by Phillygonaspanku, with 10 points in 6 games. It seems like the team fell apart after that as most the team had below 6 points. Spoon played 5 games in goal, and had a 2.64GAA. Combined with Playmaker and CMM, they had a 3.10 GAA. Overall I think the Blues need a lot of work. They have no firepower, but we will see in week 2.

3. New York Islanders.

The Islanders went 1-6-2 with 46 goals against. They seemed to have nearly gotten 2 more wins with the OTLs. The team was lead by xPyscho83, who had 14 points in 6 games played. The 1st overall pick Malbom had 13 points in 3 games played with his debut this week as the 1st pick. Sakxc had 11 points in 3 as well. The team seems to lack offensive production and scoring. LysxLdrew and ShadowPlayz had a combined 5.17 GAA in 9 games. So it appears they need to be better defensively as well. I think the Islanders can turn it around 100%. They have a pretty solid roster.
