What is up LMSHL?! It's GameDay in Week 6 and we've seen the chat go off quite a bit about how much some playerslove their team, overobundance of minion memes, and of course a bit if trash talking.

Well let's take a look at the rankings and see if some of the teams are just talk, or if they can walk the walk so far.

POWER RANKINGS:

Contenders:

  1. Boston - Boston is the reigning Eastern champs! Seems like theirs something in the water in Boston, because they have been killing it and just seem to have a deep roster, and great leadership from Sway, Tim, and SterlingArchie. Also, the team is leading the league in HITS as well, so be prepared to be lit up like a Christmas tree all night! Tim.... cough.. cough. 379 hits in 20 games! 💪

  2. Detroit - Detroit may be the best defensive team in the League. On paper they look great ( 3rd on INT, 5th in TKA, and 6th in HITS) , but their gameplay is more dominant. Snake and his management have their recipe of success and have very few teams standing in their way. Plus, Irishoddity is making a case for the Aldege "Baz" Bastien Memorial Award (Best Goalie) nomination!

  3. Montreal - One of the more consistent teams with a balanced game style with some stellar goaltending. Draft picks, Runlikehell and Zmatta are both in the race for multiple awards! With the departure of Rexxie 😪, Montreal stays here for now. Next man up and Ljwatson answered the call by going 3-1 in the NHL last week! Let's see if Montreal can keep up their consistently solid gameplay.

Pretenders:

  1. Vegas - I know I'll get hate for this but from week 1-5 they have went 2nd, 6th, 1st, 2nd, and now 5th. Solid, but the bouncing around on the rankings and on paper, they seem to have a good core, but may lack some depth. High scoring offense and great goaltending, but something ain't clicking defensively on a consistent basis. Walrus is always working behind the scenes so let's see what he comes up with.

  2. Dallas - Look... as the reigning champs of the league, I expected at least a record above .500 win percentage being 30 games in. A glaring hole at Goalie as iTzOutlawDemo- has the best record at 3-1. Is it too late to for them to turn it around? Is it too early for me to call them a pretender? Cmon Dallas! The core of Shrek, Pinedo, Rampy, and Outlaw was solid enough to win 2 chips. Has the league finally caught up to them?

  3. San Jose - I understand the AHL vs NHL debate and the other issues San Jose has been dealing with. Who doesn't love drama though?! Trading Punisher will hurt them, but they got a haul in return. Plus if r1psupreme is playing in net, the team has a chance. Since Week 1, San Jose has progressively been ranked lower each week. I just think the hole that has been dug, may be too deep for them to get out of. Maybe I'm wrong.... But, I will say, some of the players their really love their team!

Awards Mid-Season Race:

With the seaon at the halfway mark, here is the current standings in the race for the LMSHL awards! Any surprises here? Let us know!

CONCLUSION:

Week 6 is underway today and I expect the rivalries to start heating up. Teams like Washington, Hartford, and Tampa are starting to figure things out, and with LMSHL, you just never know what's going to happen.

Could I be wrong about all of this? Possibly. But, what are the odds I'm wrong on it all? Odds of them being right? I'll take that chance and get hassled in chat for it! Worth it! Next week will be a breakdown of every NHL and AHL team. Also, a Weekly Recap for this week's games! Until next everyone, peace!
